Computing for Change

I attended the second meeting of the Computing for Change group this afternoon. The meeting was held at Glasgow Metropolitan College.

I updated people on the actions that the QST planned to carry out to review SQA units and assessments. Today's meeting focussed more on the factors other than the curriculum such as teaching and learning, and support for Computing lecturers.

A number of actions were agreed, including a comprehensive review of the statistics relating to student performance in HN Computing and related subjects.

My major task is to look at specific units and assessments to see if there is a quick and simple way of reducing the assessment load on lecturers and students.
