IT in Business (HN Units)

As part of the review of HNC/D Accounting, HNC/D Business and HNC/D Administration & IT, the Qualification Team responsible for these areas have recently revised and updated a number of HN Units as part of these developments.

The new Units will become live on 1st August 2010, however the new Unit specifications are currently available on SQA website.

To ensure that the 'old' Units are available for the 4 year runout period of the above HN Group Awards, the lapse date for them will be 31st July 2012 meaning there will be a period of dual availability of old and new Units.

From the list of Units that have been provided only 6 are within some Computing related frameworks. These Units are listed below:

F84C 34 IT in Business: Word Processing and Presentation Applications (New)

DE1M 34 IT in Business: Spreadsheets (Old)
F84V 34 IT in Business: Spreadsheets (New)

DE1N 34 IT in Business: Databases (Old)
F84X 34 IT in Business: Databases (New)

DE2G 35 IT in Business Advanced Word Processing (Old)
F84A 35 IT in Business Advanced Word Processing (New)

DE1V 35 IT in Business: Advanced Spreadsheets (Old)
F849 35 IT in Business: Advanced Spreadsheets (New)

DE1W 34 IT in Business: Advanced Databases (Old)
F848 35 IT in Business: Advanced Databases (New)
